Sergiu Maruster
The native Romanian discovered dance sport at the age of eleven – today Sergiu Maruster is one of the professionals of the international Latin scene.
He is currently the reigning World Champion in Show Dance Latin, reigning European Champion of the Professionals Latin, and reigning World Cup winner.
In 2013 he came to Germany to train, and since 2017 he has danced with his wife Anastasia. The couple was part of the national squad of the German Dance Sport Federation and has competed for the Republic of Moldova since 2022, and in the WDSF Professional Division since 2023.
A wide audience knows Sergiu from “Let’s Dance”: in 2024 he was on the Let’s Dance tour, and in 2025 he danced on the RTL show with Leyla Lahouar. As a coach and adjudicator he passes on his expertise – now also at the DANCEIMPERIAL Festival 2026.
